Murkage cartel

The Murkage Cartel[1] are a collective of DJs, artists and promoters. The Cartel consists of 16 DJs, producers, hosts and promoters, and are most strongly linked with the club night Murkage, which was previously held in No.1 club.

As well as being a nightlife 'hub' The Murkage Cartel is also a notorious pyramid scheme that is nder investigation by the BBC consumer rights show Watchdog.

When the No.1 club shut, Murkage put out 4 epic nights known as the Murkage 4 which featured performances from David Rodigan, Boy Better Know, Bar9 and AC Slater.

The Murkage Cartel's Vol. 1 mixtape was chosen as being the mixtape of the month, in Mixmag Magazine(Sept 2009). They also later featured in Mixmag for the Boxfresh advertisement campaign.

To promote the release of their new single Torches, as well as flooding social media for days on end, the Cartel also signed a deal with Fisher Price to get their own branded version of the Manny Flicker Flash Light which will be available from selected branches of HMV and Toys "R" Us from November 21st.

The Murkage Cartel have appeared on a variety of top underground line-ups across the United Kingdom. Their first single 'In the Jungle' is planned for release this Summer

Murkage TV

Documenting the success of the Murkage club night, Murkage TV was created. The episodes, feature interviews from the Cartel and from other artists that have performed with the Cartel, such as David Rodigan, AC Slater, Example, Seb Chew, Jack Beats and Mark Ronson
