Yasuko Watanabe (渡邉 泰子 Watanabe Yasuko , June 7, 1957 - March 8, 1997) was a 39-year-old Japanese female who worked for Tokyo Electric Power Company(TEPCO) as vice chief of planning division when her body was found on March 19, 1997. She was prostituting at night while working at managing post for TEPCO during the day. In her notebook, her customers included her boss at TEPCO. A Nepalese, Govinda Prasad Mainali(ゴビンダ・プラサド・マイナリ), who was also on her customer list who was running a Nepalese restaurant was arrested as the murderer. Criminal who was sentenced life confinement, has pleaded his innocence for the insufficient evidence. This case was controversial because the fatality was regarded who grown up in wealth and intellectual family, her father was a engineer at TEPCO after finishing Tokyo Institute of Technology and she had her education at Keio Girls Senior High School(慶應義塾女子高等学校), Keio University which has high educational reputation and worked for the biggest energy farm in Japan. She wrote reports about the dangerous possibility of new clear energy and at the time her bosses were including Tsunehisa Katsumata (勝俣恒久), chairman of TEPCO, Makio Fujiwara (藤原万喜夫), vice president of TEPCO and Akira Ohira(大平明), vice president of Taisho Pharmaceutical Co..
