Mukarram Ahmad

Mufti Mukarram Ahmed is an Indian Muslim religious and literary scholar. Maulana Mukarram Ahmed is Shahi Imam of grand royal mosque at Fatehpuri, Delhi India. He subscribes to Sunni Barelwi ideology. He is a scholar of Arabic and Urdu, who represents Barelwi Muslims on issues such as moon sighting and Eid celebration. The Moon Sighting committee of Fateh Puri Masjid is most reputed in India and is recognized and followed by a majority of Sunnis. He has been Imam there for almost 30 years and before him his father was Imam and Mufti in Fatehpuri Mosque which was built by one of the wives of Mughal emperor Shahjahan.[1][2][3][4]
