The club was founded in 1970. They currently play in the NSW Super League, the second tier of football in New South Wales below the NSW Premier League. Since 2007, the Rangers have participated in the Super League, after being promoted from Division One. However, they have never been promoted to the Premier League.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers Soccer Club was formed in 1970 and has developed a strong association with the district and the governing body, Football NSW. Administrator: Dot Platt, President: Greg Dobbie, Vice President: Mark Robertson
The club has junior teams raging from Under 10s right through to seniors, and 5 elite teams aged between 13s and 18s playing the NSW Youth League. Rangers also has their 1st Grade seniors team, and 1st grade U.20s team playing in the NSW Super League and NSW U20s Super League. The Club consistently does well in the Super League, however is yet to be promoted to the NSW Premier League or relegated to the league below.[1]
Club Colours and Kit
The clubs shirt is mainly white with small parts being yellow and green,the shorts are full green and the socks are yellow with green hoops on the top as of 2011. The clubs training gear is sponsored by adidas in 2011.
