It was produced by Duke Reid and originally released on his Treasure Isle label in 1967. Although this was his first album, Ellis had already been a star musician in Jamaica for several years by the time of its release, and some of his biggest contemporary hits – including "Rock Steady", "Girl I've Got a Date" and "Cry Tough" – were left off of it.[3]
