Moyes Point

Moyes Point (60°45′S 45°40′W / 60.75°S 45.667°W / -60.75; -45.667) is a point in the southwest part of Signy Island, South Orkney Islands, forming the east side of the southeast entrance to Fyr Channel. First charted in 1933 by DI personnel on the Discovery II. Surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1956-58 and named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1959 for William Moyes, British government representative at Signy Island in 1912-13.
