Moycullen Basketball Club, are an Irish basketball club based in the village of Moycullen in County Galway, Ireland. They play their home games at the Kingfisher Sports Centre at the NUIG in Galway city. As of the 2009-10 season they play in the Irish Superleague, the top tier of basketball in the country, having before that played in the First Division between 1999 and 2009.

History

The Moycullen Mens U20 Basketball team won the U20 National Cup in January 2008. The Moycullen Senior Mens Basketball team won the Senior National Cup in January 2009. A number of players have represented Ireland internationally at all underage levels. They went 1-25 in the Superleague last year.

Blitz

Since the late 1960s a Christmas Blitz tournament has been played. This is an annual outdoor competition which is played during daylight hours on St. Stephen's Day. The competition is famous for running, regardless of weather conditions. Winning players are assigned to the "Hall of Fame", whereas players who have never been on a winning side occupy the "Hall of Shame".
