Mount Schumann

Mount Schumann (71°38′S 73°42′W / 71.633°S 73.7°W / -71.633; -73.7) is a mountain rising to about 600 m southwest of the head of Brahms Inlet on Beethoven Peninsula in the southwest part of Alexander Island. First mapped from air photos taken by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE), 1947–48, by Searle of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1960. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) after Robert Schumann (1810–56), German composer.
