Mount Hall (Victoria Land)

Coordinates: 77°34′S 162°36′E / 77.567°S 162.6°E / -77.567; 162.6 Mount Hall is a peak rising to 1,800 metres (5,900 ft) 1.6 miles (2.6 km) southwest of Mount Weyant in the Asgard Range, Victoria Land. Mount Hall stands close westward of Harris Peak and Ball Peak, with which this naming is associated. It was named by New Zealand Geographic Board, 1998, after Rob Hall (who died on Mount Everest with A.M. “Andy” Harris), a guide who worked two seasons for New Zealand Antarctic Research Program as field training instructor and, in the 1990s, guided clients (with Gary Ball) on climbs in the Ellsworth Mountains.
