Mount Gniewek

Mount Gniewek (79°20′S 158°55′E / 79.333°S 158.917°E / -79.333; 158.917) is a conspicuous ice-covered flat-topped mountain, 2,060 m, standing at the north side of Carlyon Glacier, 6 nautical miles (11 km) southwest of Mount Keltie. Mapped by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from tellurometer surveys and Navy air photos, 1959-63. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for John J. Gniewek, geomagnetician at Little America V, 1958.
