Compared it to its predecessor, the Motorola Xoom, Motorola's website offers that the XOOM 2 will be "10 percent lighter", "33 percent thinner", has an "improved HD 10.1-inch screen", and will "stream PC files to your tablet with MotoCast™". The website also claims the 1.2 GHz dual-core processor "boosts speed by 20 percent".[2]
The XOOM 2 will also be available as a Media Edition[3] The Motorola website states that the Media Edition will "Stream files from your PC" with "MotoCast™" and has an 8.2-inch "HD widescreen" with "Adaptive virtual surround sound".
Both XOOM 2 tablets will be available at Carphone Warehouse in the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as Best Buy, Dixons, PC World and Currys in the United Kingdom.[4]
