Moontoast is a social commerce platform for retailers, publishers, musicians,[1] athletes, and celebrities.[2] The company launched at SXSW in 2009[3] and added their social commerce platform in September 2010. They are headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, with offices in Nashville, Tennessee.

Co-Founders
Moontoast was co-founded by of Joe Glaser of Glaser Instruments, Chief Technology Officer Marcus Whitney [18] (a former partner at Emma), and veteran, pedal-steel guitarist Bucky Baxter.[19] Baxter is best known for his instrumental roles in performances by Bob Dylan, Beastie Boys, and R.E.M.
Leadership
Moontoast’s CEO is Blair Heavey.[20] Prior to Moontoast, Heavey served as CEO and President of MyPerfectGig and as CEO of Directorym, Inc. He served as SVP of Worldwide Field Operations of LiveVault, an online backup and recovery service. Heavey served as an Executive Vice President and General Manager of Be Free, Inc., an affiliate marketing pioneer and as Head of Sales for electronic commerce pioneer OpenMarket. Heavey received an MBA from Babson College and a B.A. in Computer Science/Political Science from Boston College.

Moontoast is funded from The Martin Companies and music industry angel investors.[21]
