Molchaniya Rock

Molchaniya Rock (72°9′S 14°8′E / 72.15°S 14.133°E / -72.15; 14.133) is an isolated rock 6 nautical miles (11 km) west-northwest of Rokhlin Nunataks in the Payer Mountains, Queen Maud Land. Discovered and first plotted from air photos by the German Antarctic Expedition, 1938-39. Remapped from air photos and surveys by Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named Skala Molchaniya (silent rock).
