Mohazzabul Lughat is an Urdu Language Encyclopedia.

Padam Shree Syed Mohammed Meerza Saheb, “Mohazzab Lucknowi” the renowned elegiac poet and celebrated figure in Urdu literature compiled the “Mohazzab-ul-Lugat “ in fourteen volumes. He devoted sixty years in compiling this dictionary. On completion of the 7th volume, the Government of India awarded him the title of Padam shree in 1971. He was also awarded the title of “Baba-e-Adab” in 1973.

Mohazzab-ul-Lugat is a unique and voluminous dictionary containing fourteen volumes and the compiler tried his best to bring all the difficult words and phrases which are often needed by readers. Every conceivable word which may create doubt or difficulty has been explained by the befitting usage of words with examples obtain by authorised authors and poets. Each volume of this dictionary contains 500 pages and is attractively well bounded. The size of each volume is 18 x 22/4 having three columns in each page.
