Mohammad Reza Rahimi Tabar (Also known as M. R. Rahimi Tabar in scientific literature) is an Iranian theoretical physicist. He is a professor at Sharif University.

Mazandaran earthquake issue

In spring 2005, at the same time with Mazandaran earthquake, an extending rumor originated by his works on time series analysis of earthquake waves distributed by Persian Media, postponed final examination of Sharif university of technology.[citation needed] Although he always denied any precise prediction of any earthquake by his works. (See his latest paper in Physical Review Letter on seismic waves.[1])
