Mohamed Akid (5 July 1949 – April 11, 1979) was a Tunisian football forward who played for Tunisia in the 1978 FIFA World Cup.^[1] He also played for CS Sfaxien. On April 11 1979, Akid was fatally struck by lightning during team practice.^[2]
