Miurakaigan Station is served by the Keikyū Kurihama Line, and is located 11.2 rail km from the junction at Horinouchi Station, and 63.5 rail km from the northern terminus of the Kurihama Line at Shinagawa Station, in Tokyo.

Miurakaigan Station opened on July 7, 1966 as the southern terminal station for the Kurihama Line. The platforms were lengthened in 1968 to handle 12-car trains. In 1975, the Kurihama Line was extended to its present terminus at Misakiguchi Station.
