Mistresses is a Canadian TV series, based upon the original British show with the same name. It was shelved but was scheduled to be broadcast in January 2009 on Lifetime Television[1] network and stars Holly Marie Combs, Brooke Burns, Rochelle Aytes, Sarah Glendening and Camille Sullivan.[2] The story is based on the original British show which began airing in January 2008 on BBC One. The show is produced by Combs and Lifetime Television and was confirmed to be produced in July 2008. The show was later on not picked up.

Story

The story revolves around five ladies who are in their early thirties. Jane Hollister (Holly Marie Combs), Shannon (Brooke Burns), Ava (Rochelle Aytes) Cecilia (Sarah Glendening) and Kate (Camille Sullivan) are the show's main characters.

Characters

Jane Hollister (Holly Marie Combs) is an intelligent woman, who has made the biggest mistake of her life by marrying her lover Tom and settling down, thus leading her to become a housewife and mother of two kids. Her life becomes a nightmare when she keeps an affair with Sam Hollister a secret, as a result of frustration with the 'housewife' lifestyle.

Shannon Barnes (Brooke Burns) is a straight-forward lawyer who has the firm intention of fighting only for the truth but however finds it difficult when a marriage proposal arrives for her. She has an affair with one of her colleagues who then threatens to kill her if she doesn't go with him to America.

Ava (Rochelle Aytes) is a TV actress who has problems acquiring roles and is also struggling to succeed because of her young age.

Kate (Camille Sullivan) is a Doctor reeling from the death of a patient.
