Miss Sydney Australia Beauty Pageant

Miss Sydney Australia is a beauty pageant based in Sydney, Australia. The first Miss Sydney Australia was held on the 30th March 2011 and was organised and owned by Felice Colarusso of Tecnica Haircare and Beauty on Demand. The main purpose for Miss Sydney Australia is to pass on experience and technique to young women who would like to enter a beauty pageant or modelling career, with no experience, and prepare them for bigger competitions such as Miss Universe Australia or Miss World Australia.

To enter the competition a contestant must register and attend the workshop night, which is held one month before the finale event. On the day of the Finale event the contestants are judged on the following:

• Communication Skills
• Fitness
• Swimsuit
• Style & Elegance

There is also a Hair Stylist Competition for the best Upstyle created by local Hair Stylists. The finale show rounds up the night where a winner is announced. The first winner was Tegan Martin, who later went on to became runner-up in the Miss Universe Australia 2011 pageant, and was a perfect model for the development of the pageant. Miss Sydney Australia aims to become a regular annual event in the Sydney Events Calender.
