Miss Asia Pacific World

Miss Asia Pacific World is a newly formed beauty pageant created by Lawrence Choi in 2011.^[1][2]

The organizers of Miss Asia Pacific International clarified that they are not connected to the newly formed beauty pageant (Miss Asia Pacific World).^[3]

Currently, several of the contestants are alleging sexual harrassment and corruption - on top of gross negligence and mismanagement - within the pageant, most notably groping of contestants and solicitation for bribery in lieu of competition placement. ^[4] Official investigation details are unknown, especially since it seems the contestants were blocked from even talking directly with the local authorities. At least one contestant is planning to follow up with official charges in her home country.

Miss Asia Pacific World was started in 2011 in South Korea with 47 entries at the first edition of the pageant.
