Mirokhan is situated in Qamber Shahdadkot District (Previously in Larkana District) of Sindh province. It's about 55 km away from the Indus valley's most famous site Mohenjo-daro, 27 km from larkana. Mirokhan is famous for a great islamic scholar and Saint's shrine Hazrat Mian Hamidullah Huzuri Rehmatullah alleh (Huzuri Badshah) and its grandson Hazrat Mian Ahmed Bakhsh Tunio damat barkatahum they have very large numbers of murids spread all over the country.its connected by road directly to Qamber, Shahdadkot, Ratodero and Larkana. The city includes a degree college, a commercial college, a higher secondary school for girls and primary schools for girls and boys. It is said to be one of the oldest talukas of the country and was established in 1915 and was considered to be biggest taluka before the division of Larkana district into Larkana and Qambar Shahdadkot districts and its own division into Mirokhan and Sijawal Talukas.
It is inhabited mainly by Tunio, Bhatti, Gopang, Chandio, Laghari and Abro casts.
It is considered a peaceful city and inhabits Hazrat Mian Hamidullah Hazuri's (Rehmatullah alleh) last abode in its center. Arzi Bhutto Square is considered to be its business center and Al Mussavir Clinic (Dr. Barkat Ali Jhatial) is the main feature of the square.
