Mircea A. Munteanu is an American historian with the Office of the Historian at the Department of State. Previously, he worked at the History and Public Policy Program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars where he coordinated the activities of the Cold War International History Project. He specializes in Cold War History, with an emphasis on communist foreign policy. He was the co-editor of the Project's Working Paper series, associate editor of the CWIHP Bulletin, and author of numerous articles on security issues and foreign policy, including in Diplomatic History and the Journal of Cold War Studies.[1]
