- Milton Sernett

Milton C Sernett is a historian, author, and professor at Syracuse University.[1] He has published many books, articles and book chapters on African American history. His published works in African-American history focus on abolitionism, religion, biographies and the Underground Railroad.[2] He has spent several years studying the anti-slavery movements in Upstate New york, particularly, the life of Harriet Tubman.[3]
He currently teaches in the Department of Religion, History Department and Department of African American Studies at Syracuse University.

Early life
He is a graduate from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis Missouri. [4] He received his Masters and Phd in American history from the University of Delaware in 1972.[5]. He served as s research fellow at the WEB Du Bois Institute at Harvard University and a Fulbright Senior Scholar at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies .[6]
