Career
Club
Caraglio made his first team debut in the Clausura tournament on 17 March 2007 in a 0-1 home defeat to eventual champions San Lorenzo de Almagro. On 15 November 2008 he scored his first goal for the club in a 0-2 away win over Huracán, he went on to score three goals in Apertura 2008.
Caraglio suffered a knee injury during the Clausura 2009 which kept him out from most of the championship and part of the Apertura 2009.
In July 2010, Caraglio joined West Ham United on trial,[1] making his debut on 28 July when he played for 64 minutes in a 2-0 win against MK Dons.[2] However, he failed to pass the stringent medical that West Ham put him through and he returned to Argentina.[3]
On August 2, 2011, Caraglio signed for the New England Revolution as the team's first ever Designated Player.[4] On August 20, 2011, Caraglio scored two first half goals versus the NY Red Bulls. These were the first two goals for the Rev's Designated Player.
International
In 2009, Caraglio was called by coach Diego Maradona for a national team formed exclusively with Argentine based players; however, a knee injury forced him to leave the squad. Esteban Fuertes was chosen as his substitute in his stead.[5]
