History

The Millennium Hotel Cincinnati had been previously operated under numerous brand names such as Regal, Clarion and Stouffer. When Millennium Hotels and Resorts made the decision to enter the Cincinnati market it was decided that success was more probable if two brands were represented under one roof.

Following the tragedy of 9/11 and feeling the impact of the suffering national economy, Millennium did something unprecedented in the hospitality industry. Operating the hotel structure under one management team, it franchised the south tower (450 rooms) to Starwood and re-branded it as The Four Points by Sheraton Cincinnati Downtown. The north tower (422 rooms) remained the Millennium Hotel Cincinnati. Having thus establishing the Millennium Hotel Complex, Millennium appointed one of its leading management teams to oversee the day-to-day operation of both brands.

In 2005, it was decided that the Millennium Hotel Complex would become one hotel brand; both the north and south towers became what is now known as the Millennium Hotel Cincinnati. The south tower rooms exude warmth with its traditional décor, while the north tower is more contemporary with glass and light wood. With 872 guest rooms and 27,000 square feet (2,500 m2) of meeting space, including two ballrooms, the Millennium Hotel Cincinnati is a major destination offering travelers all the conveniences of a deluxe hotel.
