Military academy of Venezuela

The Military academy of Venezuela (in Spanish Academia militar de Venezuela), founded in 1810. It is located in Caracas, Venezuela and provides a four year program of training for officer cadets. Notable graduates include current Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez.

The academy system is composed of the following:

  • Military Academy of the Army
  • Naval Academy of the Venezuelan National Bolivarian Navy "Adm. Sebastian Francisco de Miranda Rodriguez"
  • Military Aviation Academy
  • National Guard Officers Training and Candidate Academy
  • Military Technical Academy of the National Armed Forces
