He is currently the head coach at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, a position he has held since 1996. Swider's Wheaton teams have won five conference titles and made six appearances in the NCAA Division III National Football Championship. In each of their first five appearances, they were eliminated from the tournament by Larry Kehres's Mount Union Purple Raiders.
