Mike Pronovost (born November 11, 1989) is an online entrepreneur that first became well known as being the "19 Year old CEO" that raised an ISP start up, "Powerband Internet" from the ground up. He claimed that he built the technology to power his ISP from his bedroom room in Fresno, CA.

Early life
In his early life Mike began playing and "tinkering" with computers at the age of 5 years old. Pronovost attended St. Anthony's Elementary School in Fresno, CA until May 2004. As an early entrepreneur he began working for Dan Gamel Inc. when he was just 14 years old. He's said to have taken a lot of his knowledge from watching Dan Gamel, CEO of Dan Gamel Inc as he ran his RV empire. Pronovost attended highschool at the private Catholic highschool San Joaquin Memorial until he later graduated in 2008. As Mike approached 16 years old he started his first tech company called "Extreme PC Parts". When he was 17 years old he was moved to the corporate management at Dan Gamel's Inc. where he's said to have learned a majority of his business knowledge. When he was 18 he founded his startup, Powerband Internet, right out of his bedroom.
Career
Pronovost founded the company Powerband Internet and he brought on board Microsoft to partner with him on his internet venture. Within less than a year and with Microsoft at their side they unveiled "Powerband Internet". A high speed internet connection that would accelerate your dial up, DSL, or Cable internet connections to extremely fast speeds. Pronovost was featured in PC Magazine,[1] India Times,[2] and Columbia Tribune[3] for the development of Powerband Internet.

Pronovost was featured on CBS 47 for his role as the "19 Year Old CEO" that was partnered with Microsoft and running an international company out of his bedroom.[4]
Fresno Bee
Pronovost was also featured on the front page of the Fresno Bee business section as the "Nerd that Saw a Better Way". The Fresno Bee reporter said that he's never had a story blow up as large as this one did.[5]
PC Magazine
Pronovost was featured in PC Magazine as the CEO for his new internet startup Powerband Internet and his partnership of Microsoft at just the age of 19 years old.[1]
