Michael Morgan (born 27 December 1991 in Townsville, Queensland) is an Australian rugby league player, who plays for the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League (NRL). He plays primarily as a halfback.

Career

Born and raised in Townsville, Queensland, Morgan played junior football for the Townsville Brothers club before joining the North Queensland Cowboys under-20s squad in 2009. In the same year he was selected for the Australian and Queensland Schoolboys teams.[1] He made his NRL debut against the Sydney Roosters in 2010 at the age of 18, filling in as halfback for the Cowboys' captain Johnathan Thurston.[2]

Morgan continued to play for the Cowboys' under-20 side through the 2011 season, making the grand final of the Toyota Cup that year.[3]
