Michael McGinley

Michael McGinley

Michael McGinley was a song writer who was born in 1852 Breenagh in County Donegal, Ireland. He wrote the famous songs The Hills of Glenswilly and An Emigrants Farewell as he travelled aboard the ship The Invercardill bound for New Zealand in 1878[1]. He is the older brother of Peadar Toner Mac Fhionnlaoich an Irish Language writer.
