Datu Michael Mastura is a Philippine lawyer, author, and lecturer. He served as Congressman[1] from 1987 through 1995, representing the districts of Maguindanao and Cotobato City in Mindanao, Philippines.
Datu Mastura Served as Deputy Minister for the Office of Muslim Affairs, Member of the Board of Regents of Mindanao State University, Member of the Southern Philippines Development Authority, and Member of the Mindanao Economic Council.
He was a Delegate to the 1971 Constitutional Convention, and co-founder of the Southeast Asian Shariah Law Association.[1]
Of Chinese ancestry, his parents migrated to the Philippines in the early 20th Century.Japanese settlement in the Philippines#American period and the Post-WWII era
He is the elder brother of Mayor Datu Tucao Mastura of Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao and Mayor Datu Armando Mastura of Sultan Mastura, Maguindanao.
