Michael Mällinen

Michael Mällinen (born March 4, 1958) is a racecar driver from the United States.

He raced in various series, mostly in the Formula Atlantic and Sports Racer classes in North America.

In 2004, he won the Northeast SCCA C Sports Racer championship. In 2006, he was the runner up in the Southeast SCCA Formula Atlantic championship. In 2007, he was third in that series. In 2007, he made his debut in the IMSA Lites and raced 2 races in the L2 class. In 2008, Mällinen raced in the L1 class driving an Elan DP02 in 4 races. He also raced in the SCCA Formula Atlantic series and won the 2008 championship in his Swift 014.a for Swan Racing in the southeast division. In 2009 Mällinen made his debut in the IMSA Atlantic Championship racing in the C2-class for Swan Racing where he won the championship with 4 wins and 3 pole positions. In 2010, Mällinen won the American Road Race of Champions, competed in the SCCA Formula Atlantic national championship series where he finished third, and was third in the SCCA National Championship Runoffs in his Swift 014.a for Swan Racing. In 2010, Mällinen won 7 races and had 8 pole positions.

Mällinen currently resides in Liberty Lake, Washington.
