IRIS is the annual management festival of the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIMI), which is the newest and the most dynamic among the IIM fraternity. An institute that is carving a niche for itself in corporate India, it is characterised by the spirit of initiative. IRIS, was born out of this very spirit. IRIS enjoys a strong reputation among the premier b-schools of the country and attracts the best of tomorrow’s managers.
History
The inaugural edition of IRIS was held in the year 2000. IRIS has been on a meteoric rise over the years. Each edition has seen a new level being reached. Participation, both from students and corporate India, has been on the rise. IRIS is renowned across the b-school fraternity for its hospitality and the quality of its management simulation.
The Event
IRIS looks to simulate and very often is the real environment. The management games throw the twists and turns of the real world at participants who vie for the top honours. With a gamut of events ranging from the flagship Ashwamedha to a host of other games targeted at every functional sphere of management, IRIS is successful in pulling in the best management students across India. Among the more popular events are Bulls & Bears – the stock market simulation, Insuris, Entrepid, Store Wars and Ad-apt to name a few. All these games have been developed by the IT team at IRIS over the years and are well received by the public.
IIM Indore is considered to be a jewel in the crown of corporate Indore. The support is evident and welcomed by the IIMI Community. The event ends with a pulsating rock show that is targeted at the Indore public. The ending note befits the occasion with the crescendo.
