Michael Boyd (aviation)

Michael Boyd is an expert in aviation expert, focusing on security and consultancy. He is co-founder of the Boyd Group.

Career

Boyd began working in aviation in 1971 for American Airlines. In 1977, he moved to Braniff International, eventually becoming regional director; he is credited for opening the carrier's Far Eastern operations. In 1982, he moved to Bar Harbor Airlines as vice president of marketing and planning.[1]

As a consultant to the aviation industry, Boyd takes a hard-line approach against those who he considers responsible yet negligent in the domain of airline security, namely the Transportation Security Administration and the US Congress.[2]

The Boyd Group is based in Evergreen, Colorado.[3]
