Playing career
Michael Beaton first played for the Melbourne Blackhawks in 2005, and then for the Adelaide Blackhawks in 2006, before rerturning to the Melbourne Blackhawks in 2007.[2][3][4] In 2008, he moved up to the Melbourne Ice of the Australian Ice Hockey League. During his first season he played 18 games, scoring three goals and recording four assists.[5] The following season Beaton on played seven games for the season scoring two points. Beaton is currently in his third season with the Ice and is currently playing in the 2010 AIHL season.[1][5]
Beaton has also been as member of the Victorian State team in the Brown grade (23 & under) for which he has played one game.[5]
