Mian Khurshid Anwar(Urdu: ميان خورشيدانور ) was the founder of Vehari District. He was born in India and migrated with his family to Pakistan. He was a middle man with extraordinary abilities. His father was a sobaydar in Kapoor Thala Lakhnow India. He got his ticket from Pakistan Muslim League(hum khayal group) and became the member of the Punjab Seventh Assembly (May 2, 1972 to January 13, 1977). He continued his struggle for the better of the people of Vehari and became MPA again in Eighth Assembly (April 9, 1977 to July 5, 1977). He was also the Deputy opposition leader of Punjab Assembly. He belonged to the Arain tribe, settled in Punjab, Pakistan. His sons Mian Saqib Khurshid and Mian Asif Khurshid are also following his path and is in politics of Vehari.
