Mian Iftikhar Hussain

Mian Iftikhar Hussain (b. 15 April 1958 - ) from Pabbi, Nowshera is a serving provincial information minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. A senior party activist of the Awami National Party(ANP) and former student leader of the Pakhtun Student Federation. He has been a strong opponent of the Taliban; in July 2010 he and his family were targeted by extremists in two separate attacks the first of which included the murder of his only son in a targeted attack.^[1] He completed his masters in Pashto from the University of Peshawar.^[2] Elected three times to the provincial assembly in 1990, 1997 and 2008, he has previously served as the partys provincial general secretary and secretary of information.
