Brock, 1940Acanthemblemaria macrospilus, known commonly as the Barnacle blenny in the United Kingdom, or the Mexican barnacle blenny in Mexico,[1] is a species of chaenopsid blenny in the genus Acanthemblemaria.[2] It is found in coral reefs in the eastern central Pacific ocean.[2] It was named by V.E. Brock in 1940,[3] and can reach a maximum length of 6 centimetres.[2] Blennies in this species feed primarily off of zooplankton.[4]
