Yevlogy Georgiyevsky was metropolitan of Western Europe of the Russian Orthodox Church.

His jurisdiction began operating independently of the mother church in Moscow in 1931, because of the intense persecution of the Russian Church by Communists. Following the proper canonical position set out in the canons of the Council of Chalcedon (451), Metropolitan Yevlogy placed his archdiocese under the protection of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

His jurisdiction, now known as the Patriarchal Exarchate of Orthodox Parishes of Russian Tradition in Western Europe, continues under the Ecumenical Patriarchate. It has evolved into a multinational Church and welcomes people of all ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
