MetaMetrics is a privately held educational measurement and research organization.[1] The psychometricians at MetaMetrics have developed The Lexile Framework for Reading, The Lexile Framework for Writing, and The Quantile Framework for Mathematics.[2] The Lexile measures from the Lexile Framework are reported from state assessments from 20 states and used worldwide.[3] The organization aims to have the measures from these frameworks used to encourage better educational practices and improve learning by linking assessment with instruction and matching students with targeted materials.[4] The organization is headquartered in Durham, North Carolina within Research Triangle Park.[5]

In both 2007 and 2008, MetaMetrics was given “The Best Place to Work” award by the Triangle Business Journal.[6]
