Merv Richards is a former New Zealand pole vaulter.

At the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games he won the bronze medal in the men's pole vault.

Richards competed at the 1950 British Empire Games and the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games where he placed 8th and 5th in the pole vault respectively.[1]
