Merry Hull

Gladys Geissmann, better known as Merry Hull (August 6, 1908 – June 1978) was an American accessory designer who created Fashion Turnabouts for readers of This Week magazine.

Geissmann was the designer who created the “finger-free” glove representing the first new glove construction in more than 300 years. She was also one of the first American designers to create the matched accessory ensemble. One of the designs she created was a Bolero, Bag, Hat and Belt pattern. She patented her idea and sold the Daniel Hayes Company a manufacturer's License.

Geissmann was the Neiman Marcus Fashion Award winner in 1949.
