Mercik Peak

Mercik Peak is a conspicuous peak, 1,425 m, located 7 nautical miles (13 km) northeast of Mount Wells, on the ridge descending from the latter, in the Prince Olav Mountains. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for James E. Mercik, United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) aurora scientist at South Pole Station, winter 1965.
