Meira Chand

Meira Chand

Meira Chand is a novelist born in London of Indian and Swiss descent.[1] After living in both Japan and India, she currently resides in Singapore, and the majority of her novels are based in Japan or India. Her novels examine cultural conflict and the position of the existential outsider.[2] From 2000–2002, she served as the chairperson for the Commonwealth Writers' Prize for the South Pacific and South East Asia.[2]
