Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry

Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry (born in Mirpur) is a former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir and the leader of the Peoples Muslim League in Azad Kashmir, the first Prime Minister of Kashmir to come from Mirpur. He belongs to a noble Thathal Jat family.

Chaudhry is a member of an influential political family in Azad Kashmir, and is the son of a prominent Kashmiri leader, Chaudhry Noor Hussain. He was educated in the United Kingdom and qualified as a barrister from London. He served as Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir from 30th July 1996 to 24th July 2001.[1]
