Barrister Sultan Mahmood

Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry (Urdu:وتیٹمغ عھہعججر) hails from a highly influential and distingusished political family of Azad Kashmir. Barrister Sultan Mehmood Thathaal is the son of Prominent Kashmiri Leader Chaudhry Noor Hussain Thathaal. Barrister Sultan Mehmood was born in Mirpur and was educated in the United Kingdom gaining a Baret in Law from London.

The family have a long history of playing an active role in trying to bring the Kashmir issue in to the limelight by continiously raising the issue on an international level in countries such as the United Kingdom, United States and beyond. Barrister Sultan Mehmood made history in 1996 by becoming the first Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir hailing from the Mirpur region.
