Megaw Island

Megaw Island (66°55′S 67°36′W / 66.917°S 67.6°W / -66.917; -67.6) is the easternmost of the Bennett Islands in Hanusse Bay. Mapped from air photos taken by Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE) (1947–48) and Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (FIDASE) (1956–57). Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Helen Dick Megaw, British physicist who in 1934 made accurate measurements of the cell dimensions of ice.
