Megan Angela Smith (Megan Angeles) [1] Born on March 27, 1987, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia)[2][3] is a Canadian actress,[4] most famous for her portrayal of Kayla Price in the Roger Conway film Broken.[5][6]
Megan moved from Nova Scotia to Vancouver in 2007 to attend Vancouver Film School.[7] After graduating from the Acting program at Vancouver Film School, Megan appeared in several independent films, and small roles on shows such as the hit television series The L Word and television commercials for Procter & Gamble. In spring of 2010 Angeles' vocal demo was passed onto a producer at Warner Bros. Records by a mutual friend and she was scheduled to begin her first CD. Shortly after the deal fell through due to a miscommunication in their contract.[7][8] In October 2010 Megan was nominated for two Canadian Indie Awards for her role in Broken, however lost both categories to Jessica Wright (Summer of Love) and Toya London (Janitor).[9] In November 2010 Megan landed the role of Sheena in Everybody Loves Whales[10] starring Drew Barrymore.[6][11] In early 2011, rumors surfaced stating Megan was pregnant, among these rumors, it also had fans questioning if she would still be appearing in Everybody Loves Whales. Her reps have yet to comment.[12] Megan has just signed on to film The Wolverine with Hugh Jackman in spring of 2012. [13]
