Meg Waite Clayton (b. January 1, 1959 in Washington, D.C.) is the bestselling author of The Four Ms. Bradwells, The Wednesday Sisters, and The Language of Light. [1] Clayton's first novel, The Language of Light, was a finalist for Barbara Kingsolver's Bellwether Prize. Her novel The Wednesday Sisters became a national bestseller and a book club favorite. [2]
Clayton earned bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Michigan. She worked as a lawyer at the Los Angeles firm of Latham & Watkins before she started writing. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
