McLeod Nunataks

McLeod Nunataks (67°29′S 52°42′E / 67.483°S 52.7°E / -67.483; 52.7) is an isolated group of nunataks 35 nautical miles (60 km) southeast of the Tula Mountains in Enderby Land. Photographed in 1956 by ANARE (Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions) aircraft. First visited in December 1958 by ANARE dog-sledge party with position fixed by G.A. Knuckey. Named by Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) for I.R. McLeod, geologist at Mawson Station in 1958, a member of the dog-sledge party.
